Space Saving Idea
We could all use more hooks in the bathroom! Here's an idea for getting more storage space.
Under the towel rack, there are tiny screws that hold it in place. Remove them and then replace them with tiny cup hooks. Then you can hang washcloths or other things from them.

Ribbon Edged Baby Blanket
To make ribbon edges, make loops with some ribbon of any length. Position your front and back of the blanket with right sides together. Pin the loops between the fabrics so that the loop faces away from the seam. Sew around the edge like normal, leaving a hole for turning.
When you're turning, make sure each ribbon is securely fastened into the seam. If not, turn it inside-out and re-sew the seam.
When you're done, you can topstitch all around or just close the seam where you turned the blanket and not topstitch.
Here is another version I made for a friend's baby shower:

Want to Make: Filing Cabinet Cover
We have a really ugly but great old filing cabinet. It probably started its life in the 1970s. It holds a lot.
I want to make a cover for it.
Here are some ideas:

Baked Potato Soup with Broccoli
Not sure where I found this soup's recpie, but it is really good! I love to make soup in the fall. We doubled it so we'd have some for another meal.
1/4 cup flour
29 oz chicken broth (low sodium, fat free) divided
3 cups peeled, cubed potatoes
2 cups broccoli florets
1 small onion, chipped
1 1/4 cups reduced-fat milk
8-oz block of 2% Cheddar cheese, shredded
crumbled bacon pieces and sliced green onions for the topping
1. Whisk together flour and 1/3 cup chicken broth until smooth.
2. Combine remaining chicken broth and next 3 ingredients. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 8 minutes. Gradually stir in flour mixture. Cook, stirring often for around 5 minutes.
3. Stir in milk and 8 oz shredded cheese. Cook mixture over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until cheese melts. Top servings with bacon and green onions.
Yum.
