Quick Easter Project

If you’ve been around on my blog for awhile, you may have noticed I am not super into holiday-specific crafting or decorating.

That means we had no Easter baskets for my boys.

That’s not fun.

So I made them some Easter pails.

I decided to go with more of an “Easter Bucket” idea.

(Have I mentioned that I like when things match? Including my boys’ names…)

I purchased two $.99 buckets from Michael’s.

And I bought some chalkboard labels. I had a coupon. No way would I have paid full price.

A bonus is that the labels are removable so I can use them for something else in case I get more creative next year with Easter baskets.

As Christians, we try to focus on the true meaning of Easter (a more fitting term is ‘Resurrection Sunday’) but I don’t think it is harmful for my boys to have simple Easter baskets to put eggs into.

  2. I love this idea MUCH BETTER than Easter baskets. At least the containers can be used for other things after the holidays. We do the same at our home, and last year we used pretty Easter themed gift bags as the girl's containers for their goodies!
