Ribbon Edged Baby Blanket

I made this blanket the week before I had our son. We didn't know if he was a boy or a girl, so I had some blankets ready for either gender!

To make ribbon edges, make loops with some ribbon of any length. Position your front and back of the blanket with right sides together. Pin the loops between the fabrics so that the loop faces away from the seam. Sew around the edge like normal, leaving a hole for turning.

When you're turning, make sure each ribbon is securely fastened into the seam. If not, turn it inside-out and re-sew the seam.


When you're done, you can topstitch all around or just close the seam where you turned the blanket and not topstitch.
