Accidental Gardening.

This week, we discovered we are growing pumpkins in our backyard! If you've followed my blog for long, you know from my failed herb garden that I am not much of a gardener.

I noticed a large vine (picture 1) in our back yard. It is growing out of a compost pit. Last year, my dad put their pumpkins onto it after the fall season was over. To my surprise, when I looked more closely at this mysterious vine, I saw some orange peeking through (picture 2). We already have three pumpkins from this volunteer pumpkin patch (picture 3).

Just thought I'd share this fun news. Pumpkins are apparently easy to grow!
