To catch up with what my family was doing a week or two ago, see my post on our trip to Charleston. I made a bunch of recommendations for places to eat and go that we enjoyed. I also mentioned we drove about 12 hours each way.
My husband drove most of it...I maybe drove three hours each way. He said he didn't mind. That way I got to pick up the dropped toys, switch DVDs for our boys, hand out snacks...you know how it is!
That meant I needed something to do when I wasn't folding myself into the backseat to reach someone's lost bunny.
So I started crocheting. I have really wanted to make owl hats for my boys for a long time. I dusted off my crochet hook and got to work. Owls are so much fun for kids and their rooms...I made owl pillows a year ago for my kiddos.
I found that it didn't take too long to make the hats, but the finishing work (eyes, ears, beak) took forever.
But I finally finished them. And they even fit.
Does my Etsy shop need more focus?
This is very cute, thanks for sharing!!!

great job! I had a friend who was trying to figure out how to make that pattern bigger. I'll have to pass along your link. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad I am not the only one trying to figure out crochet patterns:) Hope it helps your friend!

They're gorgeous! My husband loves owls, but I don't think he'd wear one of these. Well, not out of the house anyway!
