I made another pair of coastal craze baggies (pattern by Peek-A-Boo Patterns). The last two pairs were for the middle and youngest guys. I made a size 6 since I used a gingham, non-stretch fabric (he would usually wear a size 5).
To use some scraps of a favorite fabric (left over from the hats I sewed a few seasons back!) look at the lining of the pockets.
This little guy just turned five. So I can no longer state that I have three children under the age of five.
He loves this bunny.
Here is the waistband of the shorts. He likes elastic waists, he told me. That’s good, since I haven’t gotten advanced enough with my sewing to do a zipper fly.
To make these shorts a little interesting, I told my son they look like racecar shorts. (Like a finish line flag, you know?)
Sewing for the little guys is fun. But I am working on a few projects for myself, too. I'm trying to just do one project at a time. Which was a New Year's resolution either this past January or the year before. I'm finally doing well keeping up with that resolution.
And while we're on the topic of resolutions, I'll give you a report on this year's resolutions...
1. Going well. I've only given into the PB-out-of-the-jar-temptation a few times.
2. My house is frequently messy and I've not despaired as often over it.
3. And I have been showering less often! Usually 1-2x/week, I don't wash my hair. Perhaps I shouldn't skip the shower, but so far, my husband has only complained a few times. (hah.)
4. I have yet to purchase any more hats.
