Blue and Gray Striped Maxi Skirt

I made this skirt a few weeks months ago.  I had this fabric in mind for making my boys some really cute shorts (with the same pattern I used last year for some super cute shorts). But then, I decided my kids had enough clothing and don’t really love to wear things I have made for them. And the fabric is my favorite color of blue.




The skirt turned out really well. I recycled the skirt’s waistband from a maternity skirt I made a few years ago (I took it in a few inches to make it fit my non-expectant self).



I added pockets to the skirt, actually using the same method as the shorts I made my boys last year! I just made the pattern pieces larger for a women’s size.



And the stripes…I matched all the stripes very carefully.



I love the skirt and can’t wait to wear it again.
