I am loving this business card holder. Probably because it is pink. And has ruffles.
Anyway, I made it for my mom for a Mother’s Day gift. She has a direct sales jewelry business and I decided she needed to carry her business cards in style.
I have a tough time coming up with gifts to make for men.
However, my dad had seen the felt car mat I made my little boy and suggested that the idea could be adapted to store chisels.
So I purchased some canvas, did a little freezer paper stenciling, and cut up an old t-shirt to make the binding. (Every project seems to somehow include an old t-shirt.)
Debbie, I'll be emailing you in a minute to get your contact information!
Thanks to everyone who entered. I had more than a few comments that you didn't know Monkey See, Monkey Do had a Facebook page! Glad I could raise awareness.
I made this skirt for a friend’s little girl. It was super easy and really only took me about 30 minutes. Even with the freezer paper butterfly detail. See?
I saw my sweet little 8 year-old cousin at Easter. I have made her some flowered headbands in the past (using this tutorial). She loved them! So i wanted to make her another one.
I had the remains of a shirt I bought at Target for $.60 a few weeks ago. I decided to use the remains of it (I cut off the bottom and sleeves for this project) to make a new shirt.
This giveaway is now closed.

If you are a mommy of a baby, I have a fun giveaway for you.
Have you ever heard of teething jewelry? If not, let me tell you about ChewBeads. I know you will agree with me that it is a necessity for every new mommy you know.
I don’t love to clean. I also don’t like to spend money on cleaning products. To avoid buying disposable swiffer cloths, I had just been using fleece tucked around the flat end of the swiffer broom and washing the cloth after every use. I could use an improvement.
Last week, my friend Kirsten graciously had me guest post on her blog. You can see the post there, but I'm re-posting it today in case anyone missed it.
I love making things for my boys. I had a tiny scrap of my baby’s nursery fabric (that I used for a crib skirt, blanket, and softie football) left. I had some other random scraps of fabric from the other projects, too. So I sewed them all into this boxy pillow. I just made it up as I went along.
No tutorial or in-progress pictures, sorry. Just the finished product.
This binding around the edge (scraps from a pair of jeans) makes the pillow boxy.
And the fringe-y looking stuff is t-shirt yarn. I used the idea here to add three rows of fringe. I thought my little guy would like the texture. He does.
My kitchen needed some spring updates. And since I live in a home where spring means it is {finally} time to get out our road bikes, I figured I’d give it a little bike theme. Similar to the bike kitchen towels I made a few weeks ago.
