Upcycled Tank: Updated with Fabric Flowers

upcycled tank top, flowers (1)

Do you remember the upcycled bow tank I posted here?

It looked like this:
upcycled bow t-shirt (1.1)

I decided I didn’t love the bow. The bow didn’t always stand up the way it was supposed to. So I added a few fabric flowers. I used this tutorial for the fabric flowers. Sort of, anyway. I didn’t sew them down with as many rows of stitching as the tutorial shows.

It was an easy update and now I love this shirt even more.

You should make one of these shirts.
It’s made from a long sleeved girls’ XL shirt which I got at a thrift store for $1.
Full tutorial found here.

  8. Love the updated look. I had to go back to your last tutorial to see how it was you had extra fabric. It's a skill to be able to reinvent yourself and your wardrobe at will.
