I have had several requests for chevron bags. I’d stopped making them for awhile just to give myself a break and make something different. But a few friends have wanted to order them. So I have taken some custom orders and then am in the process of making a few extras to sell.
I just finished this new bag with this new fabric combination. The outer fabric is a Riley Blake chevron and I used ric rac trim on the pleated side of the bag.
The lining fabric is a Michael Miller print with bikes. And I really like bike-theme projects. So I couldn’t resist purchasing this fabric. And it matches the aqua color of the chevron fabric perfectly.
Just to remind you about other bike-theme projects I have done:
pink bike shirt /dish towels /simple placemat tutorial / freezer paper stencil bike bag / matching bike shirts / (not pictured) car storage bag / (not pictured) men’s bike t-shirt
The interior of the bag features two pockets. One is a divided pocket (lip gloss? cell phone? iPod?) And the other is a slightly deeper pocket, not divided.
The strap is slightly shorter than on my original design, not everyone is as tall as me. The strap for this print measures 37” in length. Also, these bags can be machine washed in cold water, line dried, and then pressed with a steam iron to get them back to pristine condition.
If you are interested in purchasing this bag, the bag is $38 and shipping is $6. Email me at monkeyseemail (at) gmail (dot) com if you are interested in purchasing one of the aqua chevron bags I have ready to ship. Please specify if you want the ric rac trim or not. I have been accepting payment via PayPal.

sooo cute i can see why you keep getting requests!!
ReplyDeleteYour bags are so cute. I don' think I have the patience to make a bag like that.
ReplyDeleteI've kind of got it down to assembly-line style...cut out a bunch, do a few of the pieces (set it aside for a few days), then add the snaps, cut the interfacing and felt...you get the idea. But I get tired of making them after awhile!
DeleteThis looks so cute! I love the little details of the ric rack trim and the bike lining. Very fun! Thanks for sharing this week on Project Inspire{d}!
